(Caracas, 14 de marzo. Noticias24) Luego de 10 días de la partida del presidente Hugo Chávez, en los que sus restos estuvieron exhibidos en capilla ardiente, finalmente el líder de la revolución será trasladado al lugar donde comenzó su batalla el 4 de febrero de 1992, el Cuartel de la Montaña.

Sobre una colina ubicada en el barrio 23 de enero, esta institución fue construida bajo el gobierno del presidente Cipriano Castro, abriendo sus puertas en 1910 como la primera Academia militar de Venezuela. En la década de 1940 se convirtió en el Ministerio de Defensa y en 1981, el sitio se convirtió en el Museo de historia militar.
