 David Osio is one of a handful financial operators that have defrauded the Venezuelan people in the hundreds of millions. He is involved in the ponzi scheme set up by Francisco Illarramendi, in which approximately $550 million worth of pension money belonging to Venezuela’s oil workers disappeared (with the help of David Osio’s banks). In that case in particular, Moris Beracha, another former client of FTI Consulting, paid bribes to a PDVSA official using Osio's financial network. But that is not Osío first financial faux pas. Back in the day, his time at Banco Latino International during the Venezuelan banking crisis in the 1990s was questioned, as well as his actions at Global Bank and Dollar Savings Bank, for which the Office of Thrift Supervision ruled his activities as illegal. In association with others he forged documents to steal “considerable amounts” of money -belonging to Enrique Delfino- whose heirs, expecting funds to be part of their estate, realised that funds trusted to Osio had vanished and took him to court. Osio helped Gonzalo Tirado get chavista clients for Allen Stanford's ponzi scheme. Osio has also been involved in countless illegal transactions to help PDVSA officials, chavista ministers and members of the Bolibourgeoisie --Derwick Associates purportedly among them-- siphon and launder billions. For said operations, Osio would have made millions in commissions and is believed  to have used Goldman Sachs, Bank Bauer, JP Morgan, UBS, CF Monaco, HSBC, Deutsche Bank and other financial institutions as part of his laundering operation. Osio also appears to have run into trouble in Switzerland, in relation to operations of D Société Financière Suisse S.A., another vehicle he used to move PDVSA's millions. Osio used to operate in Miami, with Mauro Nannini, but due to the lawsuit Tew Cardenas is handling he decided to close shop and move north, to New York City, where Andres Coles is looking after his interests. Osio’s financial network spans Venezuela, Panama, Mexico, Brazil, Portugal, the U.S., Switzerland, and Antigua & Barbuda. Fernandez and Sotillo, his former partners, claim that Osio even used his own mother to allegedly perpetrate a multi-million dollar fraud.

(Caracas, 14 de marzo. Noticias24) Luego de 10 días de la partida del presidente Hugo Chávez, en los que sus restos estuvieron exhibidos en capilla ardiente, finalmente el líder de la revolución será trasladado al lugar donde comenzó su batalla el 4 de febrero de 1992, el Cuartel de la Montaña.

Sobre una colina ubicada en el barrio 23 de enero, esta institución fue construida bajo el gobierno del presidente Cipriano Castro, abriendo sus puertas en 1910 como la primera Academia militar de Venezuela. En la década de 1940 se convirtió en el Ministerio de Defensa y en 1981, el sitio se convirtió en el Museo de historia militar.

Sin embargo, la historia de este lugar daría un giro en 1992, cuando Hugo Chávez dirigiera desde ese sitio estratégico el fallido Golpe de Estado contra el entonces presidente Carlos Andrés Pérez, a lo alto de Caracas y cerca de Miraflores.

Who do we find ourselves to be the Parable of the Prodigal Son told in the Gospel of St. Luke 15:1-3, 11b-32? Are we the prodigal, the father, the citizens of the country, the brother, the slave, or perhaps the pigs? Maybe we find ourselves to be none of these characters and wonder why it is we must hear this story again and again. After all, it is read every third year on the 4th Sunday of Lent and constantly in every Sunday School classroom on earth. The Eastern traditions uses the passage every single year leading up to Lent! There is a reason for this, the story speaks to everyone, if we will have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying.

Typically when we hear this parable of Christ we are beckoned by the homilist to find ourselves in the person of the Prodigal Son and this is undoubtedly true. We have each been the person who has decided to do things on their own accord, went off in our own direction, wasted our times and resources to only then realize the mistake we have made. We have presumed to know best when others have tried to tell us otherwise. Then, and only then, have we each made the humbling journey of return to where we should have never departed from. This is life, this is reality. It is apart of learning and growing, becoming our true selves. Did we not all learn the affects of fire or heat sources by burning ourselves, at some point in life, even when a parent tried to warn us. Have we not all been guilty of thinking our elders were silly or 'not cool' when they warned us of a certain behavior, to only afterward see their wisdom? We each have been the Prodigal Person, in differing degrees perhaps, but each of us have made mistakes on the journey of life. If you have not made a mistake you must still be in your mother's womb, otherwise you are only fooling yourself!

The few problems with this parable of the prodigal son are:
[-] A pardon to a son with gifts and celebration, which was really no help to him!
Ok. His son comes back to him! DID HE GO OUT AND LOOK FOR HIM!? NO...!
The outcome of the story finally is not told to us! It is a incomplete story!
[-] These days you do not give an irresponsible authority again, until after
quite sometime of trial and error!
[-] To be unjust with the other brother and do this for the prodigal, was no
example of justice! IT is a mere love story for another son!
[-] THIS PARABLE SIMPLY SHOWS THAT EVEN TODAY YOU CAN GO BROKE
AND FALL INTO REAL DISGRACE! AND A RICH PERSON WILL NOT HAVE
MUCH FOR YOU! AS GOVERNMENTS DON'T.
THIS PRODIGAL WAS REAL LUCKY TO HAVE A PARDONING FATHER,
RESPONSIBLE FOR HAVING AN IRRESPONSIBLE SON!
[-] TO EMBELLISH crap surreal stories to niceties, is not better than dreams,
as to true reality...!
[-] This Parable is proof of what humans really are: the RICH, money, and that
you can loose it all, and fall into real disgrace! Even to this day! Yeah!
